The Pedralbes line takes its name from one of the most emblematic monasteries in Catalonia and congregates a number of artisan terracotta tiles with the optimum physic and esthetic qualities.

This type of tiles have a great resistance against humidity and stains, somethimg important to have in mind when one decides to install a terracotta floor.

Besides, the installation is easy and quick though there is no treatment to be applied on site.

But the most significant aspect of the Pedralbes line is its formidable image. The esthetical look cared until its minimum detail, takes us to sensual and warn tiles capable of fitting in any kind of ambience, from the most elegant and exigent to the most spacious and brilliant.

In addition to achieve a natural antique looking tile, our goal has been to make the tile with the highest quality possible, avoiding the typical problems common to all high porosity hand-molded terracottas, and reducing the risk of installation problems.

We have developed our own process to minimize water absorption, thereby reducing moisture related problems and protecting the tile surface from stains, without sacrificing the natural antique look of the tile surface.

However, the most remarkable aspect of the Pedralbes line is its image.

With this process, our tile is supplied completely sealed and ready to install, like a low absorption stone or ceramic tile, not requiring the application of additional sealers.

With the combination of a low absorption pre-sealed body, and several surface finishes avaliable Pedralbes Antique Terra-cotta can be specified for many different applications, where traditional hand-made terra-cotta would not be considered or could have potential problems.

This is not an imitation, but the real thing. We have improved dramatically its performance capabilities, with the technology avaliable today, but it is still a natural product, with its own technical limitations.

It is important to understand that the tile as supplied, has an antique-rustic look with a lot of imperfections and variations. With the time and proper maintenance, it will age naturally.
